'Kids for Tigers' is a Sanctuary environmental education programme in schools across India that aims to bring out the vital connection between the survival of the tiger and our ecological health.

Through 'edutainment' workshops, tiger fests, nature walks, film shows and tiger information kits, 'Kids for Tigers' seeks to increase awareness among children about India's biodiversity and sensitise them to the fact that saving tigers and their forests will also secure our water supply and help save ourselves.

At the core of the programme is a 'Save the Tiger' signature campaign that will see one million children broadcast the tiger message to relatives and friends and send this to the Prime Minister of India. All this after they have been made aware of the rationale for protecting the tiger and the need to respect nature.

While promoting team spirit and community values, children with an above average interest and involvement with saving tigers will have a chance to be individually recognized, get free gift subscriptions to Cub magazine, merit certificates, tiger scholarships, participate in nature walks with expert naturalists etc. Ten exceptional children from across the country will win an expense paid trip to a 'Kids for Tigers' Camp in the Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve. Four articulate 'Kids for Tigers' will be chosen to be India's Tiger Ambassadors and will be sent to interact with wildlife associates overseas, where they will be encouraged to communicate the need to save the world's surviving tigers.
