| Guidelines for the selection
of Tiger Cub Club members
The programme is value-based, not achievement-based. Each Point
Teacher must nominate the ten most enthusiastic Tiger Cub Club members
from their respective schools. Each child's name and address must
be submitted with supporting documents indicating the basis of selection.
Please mark the recommendation with the school rubber stamp.
Teachers should evaluate children based on these criteria:
- Demonstrative love for nature and the tiger.
- Willingness to learn about nature conservation (enthusiasm at
the audio-visual shows, in classes, etc.).
- Involvement in maintaining the Kids for Tigers notice board
(press clippings, art, essays, poetry).
- Ability to articulate conservation issues, work with others
and organise Save the Tiger campaigns in school and at home.
- Number of signatures collected on the Save the Tiger Petition
Sheets.
- Additional effort put in (e.g. songs, skits, art, essays, projects).
- Participation in the Tiger Fest and setting a personal example
of good environmental practices.
For all awards please note that: The decision of the judges
appointed by Kids for Tigers is final and binding. Teachers who
accompany children are responsible for their wards. An indemnity
bond to this effect must be signed prior to attending walks, camps,
etc. No prizes or awards can be exchanged for cash. Write to us
for complete terms and conditions at mumbai@kidsfortigers.org
